There is no likelihood of suffering from protein deficiency unless one decides on a vegan diet that consists of something like potato chips and soda pop.

Some recommendations for protein supplementation and other vitamins are made on various websites and in books. In general, it’s a good idea for someone who is new to veganism to confer with a health care provider or dietician in deciding whether there is a need to use supplements.

In my view, who or what are vegans comes down to this: they are people who concern themselves with maximizing their health and minimizing the damage that their eating behavior has upon animal life and the planet. The recipe for their lives is trying to do no harm to themselves or others by the way they eat. In following that goal, they generate some wonderful food recipes that are worth trying.
